It was evident from his early teens that the need to provide entertainment to the masses was a criteria for Joey Cee. Writing about or doing promotions for various events was enough to satisfy the urge. His ideas were always cutting edge and usually a first or alternative for what was already available. From “Battle of the Bands” competitions in many arenas and Fitness Sportathalons to Entertainment, and Exhibitions to high-profile Festivals, Joey has presented some of the biggest productions ever witnessed in Toronto. Nothing attests more to that fact than the success of the Beaches International Jazz Festival, MIX 99.9 Beachfest and Canada Day events held in Toronto annually. Together, these three festivals alone generate an audience of more than a million people. He has produced special events and festivals in Los Angeles, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Atlantic City and the Bahamas in association with some of the biggest names in the biz including Donald Trump, Norman Jewison, Quincy Jones, Garth Drabinsky and the late Sam “The Record Man” Sniderman. His shows collectively have starred and featured hundreds of well known celebrities and performers. Joey’s productions are not limited to any specific genre. Notable highlights include his involvement with USA for Africa on the “We Are The World” project, “Hands Across America” and The Digital Media Awards which he produced and directed. Another highlight would be the “Canada Day in L.A.” celebrations at the Palace in Hollywood and the dedication ceremonies for Norman Jewison’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame followed by the lavish star-studded party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. In Toronto, he is also associated with The Taste of Little Italy and Toronto Fiesta.
